Using
Webmail
If you host your site with us, you can use
Webmail to check your email from any Internet-connected computer. Just
follow the instructions below to get started.
1. Make sure the computer you're using
is connected to the Internet.
2. Open any current browser, like Internet
Explorer or Firefox, and type your domain name followed by "/webmail"
in the address bar.
For example, at cybscribe.net, we type "http://www.cybscribe.net/webmail".

3. Enter your entire email address and
password. Then click the OK button.
NOTE: DON'T check Remember
my password unless you want other people using that computer
to be able to log on to check your email!
4. You'll be taken to the mail management
page, where you'll see three webmail options: NeoMail, Horde,
and SquirrelMail.

You can check your email with any of
these programs. NeoMail is probably the easiest to use, so that's
what we'll deal with here. Feel free to try Horde or SquirrelMail
if you
want. The set-up process is similar enough ...
5. Click NeoMail.
6. Read the welcome message. Then click Continue.

NOTE: You'll only have to configure
your settings the first time you use NeoMail. After this, you'll
just be taken straight to your Inbox.
7. For the most part, the default settings
will work fine for you. But you should change the following fields:
Real Name: Enter the
name for your account. This is the name people will see when
they receive email from you (that has been composed with NeoMail).
Signature: You can
leave field this alone with no problems, but if you like to
include signature information on your messages, you can type
that signature
here. A signature might include your name, address, phone, number,
company tag line, etc.
When you're done, click Save.

7. Click the Continue button
to, um, continue.
8. You'll be taken to your Inbox. If
you have any messages on the server, they will appear here.
You can now use webmail to read your
new messages, compose new message, or to manage the email messages
on your server.

IMPORTANT! Webmail
doesn't remove messages from the server (unless you manually
move a message to the neomail-trash folder, so you when
you get home, you can use your normal email program to retrieve
the messages you received.
When you do retrieve
those messages at home, the messages will be removed from the
server and you will not see them the next time you use webmail.
